Pursuant to the guidance of the Registrar of Trade Unions vide Circular Ref: ML&SP/TU/ELECTION/2026 dated 25th September 2025, requiring all Trade Unions to conduct the 2026/2031 cycle for Chapter/Branch elections between 5th January 2026 and 31st March 2026, in accordance with the Labour Relations Act 2007, and the registered UASU Constitution 2014, notice is hereby given for a Special General Meeting with the sole agenda of conducting the UASU – University of Nairobi Chapter Elections.
The Elections shall be held on Thursday, 26th March 2026, at the 8-4-4 Multi-Purpose Building in Main Campus.
These Elections will be managed by a Chapter Electoral Management Board comprising of the following officials:
- Essajee Abdulatif – Chair
- Jamen Hudson Were – Member
- Lucy Kivuti-Bitok – Member
The County Labour Office of Nairobi will oversee the process of elections to ensure a FREE, FAIR AND TRANSPARENT election. All correspondence on elections moving forward will be handled by the Chapter Electoral Management Board.
